Note: these are very large files, so allow plenty of time for it to download. A high speed connection is strongly recommended.
DesignBase 7.0
Installing DesignBase 7.0 - Must be Done From Scratch
- Uninstall any previous version of DesignBase
- Download DesignBase 7.0 zip file using the following link and extract the files into a new file directory. Contact Jennifer Garcia to obtain the password to download the file.
- Right-click the setup.exe file and select “Run as Administrator” to begin installation.
DesignBase 6.3
With Current DesignBase 6.2 Install
If you have DesignBase 6.2 already installed, you can download the much smaller patch installer here:
Installing DesignBase 6.3 From Scratch
- Uninstall any previous version of DesignBase
- Download DesignBase 6.3 zip file using the following link and extract the files into a new file directory.
- Right-click the setup.exe file and select “Run as Administrator” to begin installation.
DesignBase 6.2
With Current DesignBase 6.0 or 6.1 Install
If you have DesignBase 6.0 or 6.1 already installed, you can download the much smaller patch installer here:

DesignBase 6.1
With Current DesignBase 6.0 Install
If you have DesignBase 6.0 already installed, you can download the much smaller patch installer here:
Installing DesignBase 6.1 From Scratch
- Uninstall any previous version of DesignBase
- Download DesignBase 6.1 zip file using the following link and extract the files into a new file directory.
- Right-click the setup.exe file and select “Run as Administrator” to begin installation.
Note: If you are receiving a license error with the Generator Sizing program, you can download a corrected Gensize.exe here. Copy the contents of this .zip file to your DesignBase6 folder. - Download GenSizing
DesignBase 6.0 and Server Hotfix Patch
Installing DesignBase 6.0 From Scratch
- Uninstall any previous version of DesignBase
- Download DesignBase 6.0 zip file using the following link and extract the files into a new file directory.
- Right-click the setup.exe file and select “Run as Administrator” to begin installation.
Installing DesignBase 6.0 Hotfix Patch for Users with License Servers
This hotfix resolves the issue where DesignBase cannot checkout from the license server. You may see an error code such as (6,147) or (32,147) when you attempt to run DesignBase or the ClientLicenseManager.
On the License Server computer, the ‘Server License Manager’ program will not display the current DesignBase 6.0 Package Name. This does not affect the operation of the License Server itself. You may download an updated ServerLicenseManager.exe for use on your License server from this link (ServerLicenseManager.zip).
- Download DesignBase6-HotFix-LM9096.exe file using the following link.
- Right-click the DesignBase6-HotFix-LM9096.exe file and select “Run as Administrator” to begin installation.
DesignBase 5.3
With Current DesignBase 5.0 Install
If you have already downloaded DesignBase 5.0, you may upgrade to DesignBase 5.3 at the Download button below.
NOTE: Do not download the Service Pack until you have first installed DesignBase 5.0 - below.
DesignBase 5.0 and 5.0 Service Pack 2
If you are currently using DesignBase 4.0, 3.0 or a previous version, you must first upgrade to DesignBase 5.0 before downloading and installing the 5.0 Service Pack 2.
Installing DesignBase 5.0 From Scratch
- Uninstall any previous version of DesignBase
- Download DesignBase 5.0 zip file using the following link and extract the files into a new file directory.
- Right-click the setup.exe file and select “Run as Administrator” to begin installation.
With Current 5.0 Install You Can Install 5.0 SP2 Patch
If you have already downloaded DesignBase 5.0, you may upgrade to DesignBase Service Pack 2 at the Download button below.
NOTE: Do not download the Service Pack until you have first installed DesignBase 5.0.
