How Does EasyPower Handle Arc Flash Greater Than 15 kV?
The recent release of IEEE 1584–2018 makes no recommendation on how to handle arc flash calculations on systems beyond the prescribed voltage range of 208v – 15kV or beyond the limit of 106 kA. For utility companies, the go-to guidance for arc flash is NESC Table 410-3. In this refresher presentation, Jim Chastain details the EasyPower procedure for calculating Incident Energies in this voltage range and maintain compliance to recognized guidelines of NESC and NFPA 70E.
